Our story

Todd and I met in college.  He was a senior and I was a freshman.  We both came from Christian homes and small families.  We have one sibling (my brother) between us. We married after my junior year.  At that time, I wasn't sure that I wanted to have children. In fact, I had always told my parents that I didn't want to have kids.  I had in mind that if I ever had children, it would be through adoption.

However, God worked in us and showed us His plan.  After 5 years of marriage, we were overjoyed as we were blessed with our first daughter, Audrey.

Three years later, we were thrilled to add our beautiful Savanna to our family.  We now had 2 wonderful girls.  Todd and I were content with our church, our jobs, and our home.  Having two girls was more than I had ever planned to have.  We were happy with our family.  Things were good.

God wasn't finished adding to our family.  Nine years later, God blessed us with Riza.  She was a happy addition to our home. We made adjustments to my work schedule (fewer hours), the girls learned to help take care of a baby, and we enjoyed being a family of 5.

As I was still adjusting to the idea of having 3 girls instead of 2, Todd told me that he felt that God was calling us to adopt.  Although at first I wasn't open to the idea, I accepted Todd's leadership and began exploring adoption...
